Lou Echols-Chambers


Ms. Lou Echols-Chambers is the Director of Audiology Clinic, overseeing a team of highly-qualified audiologists and graduate students. She is responsible for supervising audiological services in the Audiology Clinic and for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds a Master of Science in Audiology from Purdue University.

Her specialities include adult and pediatric aural rehabilitation and hearing aid evaluation procedures. She is a member of the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association and the American Academy of Audiology

Carol Parker


Ms. Carol Parker is a clinical supervisor in the Audiology Clinic. Her specialities include diagnostic audiology, evoked potential testing, hearing aid evaluation procedures and working with advanced technology programmable and digital hearing aids. She holds a Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Illinois. Her teaching responsibilities include a graduate audiology hearing aid lab.

About this clinic

The University of Illinois Audiology Clinic educates and trains Doctorate of Audiology students to provide clinical diagnostic, consultative, and treatment services for individuals with communicative impairments. This mission is accomplished through teaching, research and community service. The audiology program has consistently been highly ranked by the U.S. News and World Report as one of the outstanding programs in the nation.

The Audiology Clinic is located in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science building. The Audiology Clinic is open to the public and any person who is interested in hearing assessment, hearing protection, and management of hearing problems can make an appointment without a referral.

We provide services for children and adults. Parking is available at designated metered parking spaces. Fees are charged for all services and products dispensed.
