Deborah Pitcher

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Deborah S. Pitcher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), a Master of Science in Audiology from East Tennessee State University and her clinical doctorate (Au.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Her early work experience included three years as a public school speech therapist and subsequent years working as an Audiologist at the Medical School and VA hospitals in Johnson City, Tennessee, at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and ENT physicians in Bloomington, Illinois. She, in conjunction with two partners, formed Bloomington-Normal Audiology in 1990. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Illinois Academy of Audiology, holds her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. Dr. Pitcher is an active member of the Illinois Academy of Audiology and serves as the Co-Chair of the Reimbursement Committee for ILAA and will serve as the Academy’s President in 2011. She also serves as a Board Member of the Professional Regulations Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Dr. Pitcher has taught doctoral level classes at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology, via the internet distance learning program and at Illinois State University. Dr. Pitcher entered the field with special interest in hearing loss in children and eventually became quite involved with infant hearing assessment. She now finds much fulfillment in improving the quality of life of persons of all ages with hearing loss and is especially excited about the new technologies which make the work of Audiologists so exciting. Dr. Pitcher has particular interest in working with patients who experience tinnitus. She can be seen in our Bloomington office.

Danica Billingsly

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Danica Billingsly earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Audiology from Western Illinois University, and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University in Philadelphia. Dr. Billingsly has worked in a large ENT office in Greenwood, South Carolina, a regional multispecialty clinic and hospital in Burlington, Wisconsin, and was most recently a clinical faculty member and instructor in the Doctor of Audiology program at Northern Illinois University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Illinois Academy of Audiology, earned her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. She has held volunteer positions with state professional groups, and is currently the coordinator of continuing education for the Illinois Academy of Audiology. Dr. Billingsly was drawn to audiology because of a calling to work in a helping profession combined with interests in music, biology and linguistics. She greatly enjoys the broad scope of practice in audiology and working to empower individuals and families to overcome the emotional and practical hurdles of hearing impairment and balance disorders. She has a long history of volunteer work with animal shelters and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In August 2009 she completed the 60 mile Susan G. Kommen 3-Day Walk for breast cancer, and hopes to walk again in the future. In her free time, Dr. Billingsly spends time outdoors with her husband and daughters in Bloomington, reads as often as she can and has recently learned to knit.

Stacy Chalmers

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Stacy A. Chalmers earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and her Master of Science degree in Audiology from the University of Arizona and Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology in Philadelphia. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Illinois Academy of Audiology, holds her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. Dr. Chalmers has clinical experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, ENT offices, and private practice. Dr. Chalmers chose this field based on a strong desire to help others and enjoys the opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients. Her most memorable experience while practicing audiology was in graduate school, when she coordinated a service trip that provided hearing aids to nearly one hundred children at a school in Hermosillo, Mexico. She is an active volunteer to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of McLean County program. She can be seen in our Bloomington office.

Arica Rock

M.S., CCC-A

Arica Rock earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and her Master of Science degree in Audiology from Illinois State University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Illinois Academy of Audiology, holds her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. Prior to joining our staff, she provided audiological services in Ear-Nose and Throat physicians' offices and in hospital settings. Mrs. Rock chose this field of Audiology after seeing firsthand how hearing loss affected family members close to her. She wanted to have an impact on improving the daily lives of people with hearing loss, and enjoys working closely with people of various ages and backgrounds. She is actively involved in various volunteer activities through her church. Mrs. Rock can be seen at our Bloomington office as well as our Pontiac office located at 1508 Reynolds St, Suite B.

Natalie McKee

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Natalie M. McKee earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Her experiences include clinical settings in the Rockford area, Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. McKee chose the field of Audiology following the diagnosis of her own hearing loss. She feels that this personal experience allows her to better understand and assist the patients she sees. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and has special expertise in evaluating persons with dizziness/vestibular disorders. Active participation in the community is important to Dr. McKee. This began with her experiences as an exchange student to Norway in 1995. Since then, she has remained in contact with her ‘adoptive’ family in Norway and active in the AFS International Program as a volunteer. She is also a member of the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees. Dr. McKee is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and Illinois Academy of Audiology (ILAA), holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. She remains active locally by representing the ILAA at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Science Fair as a specialty judge for those projects dealing with hearing science and sound. Dr. McKee can be seen at our Bloomington office as well as our Pontiac office located at 1508 Reynolds St, Suite B.

Bloomington-Normal Audiology (BNA) is a business primarily created to be of service to people who have difficulties related to hearing loss, tinnitus, auditory processing disorders and/or vestibular disorders. It is also dedicated to promote hearing conservation and protection for those individuals exposed to loud environments.This office is established to provide diagnostic auditory and vestibular evaluations for individuals of all ages. Appointments for these services can be made through local physicians' referrals, agencies, schools, and industries or by direct contact from individuals desiring our services.In addition to the diagnostic evaluations, the office is established to provide all non-medical aural rehabilitation services and products to individuals in need. This encompasses hearing aid dispensing including hearing aid screenings, evaluations, fittings, and post-fitting counseling.Along with hearing aids, the office is equipped to dispense a large range of assistive listening devices. Services to repair or modify the amplification devices are also performed in the office. Vestibular diagnostic and therapy services are provided to assist persons with imbalance or dizziness disorders. The office stocks a variety of hearing protection products including custom-made protection devices. Hearing conservation consultations, literature and patient information materials are also available.
