

Susan Parr earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education and Spanish from West Virginia Wesleyan College, Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders with emphasis in Audiology from the Pennsylvania State University and Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. She is a CAOHC Course Director and is ABA certified. Dr. Parr is a fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and served on the Board of Directors as well as secretary. Also she is a fellow of: the American Academy of Audiology and served as past Regional Captain for State Leaders, the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology where she served as President and Treasurer, the Georgia Academy of Audiology served as Northern Regional Representative and currently President Elect, the National Hearing Conservation Association, the Educational Audiology Association, the Audiology Foundation of America and ASHA. Dr. Parr has presented at ADA conventions on Advocacy and Private Practice, AAA convention on The Role of the Preceptor, AFA white coat ceremonies, PAA conventions and workshops on Private Practice Audiology. She has been an Adjunct Professor for the University of Pittsburgh, Bloomsburg University and Towson University, and has organized several Hearing Aid Missions to Mexico, Brazil and the Dominican Republic. She was the owner of Parr’s Pro Hearing Services, a multi-office private practice in central Pennsylvania for twenty years performing all aspects of a clinical and industrial audiology practice including OAEs, ABR, ASSR, VNG testing and therapy, hearing aids, tinnitus evaluations, auditory processing and rehabilitation, and all five elements of the OSHA requirements for industrial testing. Susan is currently working at Habersham Medical Center as Director of Audiology Services providing audiometric testing, speech in noise testing, auditory processing testing and rehabilitation, tinnitus evaluations, counseling and retraining therapy, DP and TE otoacoustic emission testing, industrial hearing screenings, hearing aids and directs the Newborn Hearing Screening Program.
Cardiovascular services provides high-tech non-invasive cardiology services such as EKGs, stress testing and state-of-the-art color-flow echocardiograms to detect certain heart problems. Additionally, cardiovascular services also offers both pulmonary-function testing (lung/breathing capacity) and physician-ordered pulmonary rehab programs for patients suffering from respiratory infection or a chronic oxygen deficiency caused by lung disease or smoking emphysema.
