Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences from Ohio University and his Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Florida. He has become the number one choice for hearing care referrals by local physicians and has been providing hearing care services in Volusia County since 1987. His main focus has been in diagnostic hearing evaluations, balance testing/treatments and personalized hearing technology solutions. He is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and stays highly involved in the progress of the industry and continued education programs. He enjoys traveling, tennis and golf.

Timko Hearing and Balance Care is owned and operated by James "Jim" Timko, a certified Audiologist who specializes in professional diagnostic hearing exams and computerized balance testing. In 1990, Jim opened his first private practice office in Deland and then grew the practice to include offices in Ormond Beach and Port Orange.

Today, the offices of Timko Hearing and Balance Care provide the best in quality hearing care, complete with the latest hearing aid devices for any budget and thorough follow-up care to ensure that each patient receives complete satisfaction from their hearing care experience.
