Emily McClain

Dr. Emily Tuttle McClain is the Chief of Audiology and Clinical Associate Professor. She oversees the team of clinical audiologists and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the audiology division. 
Her clinical specialties are neonatal hearing evaluations, pediatric audiological evaluations including diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings and follow-up to insure correct habilitation for those children with hearing loss.
She has been with the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences since 1995.

Sheridan Martin

Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Sheridan Martin is the Clinical Assistant Professor and audiologist.

Her specialties include adult audiologic diagnostic evaluations and audiologic rehabilitation, including amplification. Dr. Martin is dedicated to working with patients to improve the quality of their life through better hearing.

She is an expert in fitting programmable and digital hearing aids. She is also certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy.

Stephanie Norris Partin

Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Stephanie Norris Partin is a Clinical Assistant Professor and audiologist. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. Her specialties include the assessment and evaluation of hearing for people of all ages with an emphasis in adult hearing aids, auditory processing evaluations and electrophysiology. 
She has been with the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences since 2007.

Debra Shimon

Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Debra Shimon is a Clinical Assistant Professor and audiologist with over 20 years experience. Her specialties include the assessment and evaluation of hearing in infants, children, and adults, with an emphasis in fitting hearing aids and assistance listening devices for people of all ages.
Her professional background also includes newborn hearing screening, industrial audiology, graduate student training and public education about hearing. Dr. Shimon has been with the department since 2000.

At the UF&Shands Speech and Hearing Center, located on the 2nd Floor Dental Wing of Shands Hospital, our experienced team of Doctors of Audiology provide an array of clinical services for hearing care.
