Manatee Ear Center is a Multi-Line Hearing Aid Dispensery using Advance Digital Instruments from the top three Hearing Aid Manufacturers. Using Computerized Hearing Aid Analysis, we are able to ensure that your instruments are programmed optimally for your hearing loss. The majority of our hearing instruments are 'open ear'fittings. Open fit hearing aids use a tiny casing and a nearly invisible slim tube or wire that slips comfortably and nearly invisibly into the ear canal. These instruments are cosmetically appealing and there is no 'plugged-up' feeling- your voice sounds natural. These instruments are lightweight and a transparent dome replaces the need for a custom earmold. These instruments are appropriate for mild to moderately severe hearing losses.
Manatee Ear Center dispenses Digital Technology. The most advanced speech processing is achieved utilizing digital hearing aids. These devices change incoming sound into numbers that a small computer chip inside the hearing aid can manipulate in a variety of ways. Greater precision and flexiblity of pitch and loudness selection can be achieved by using multiple bands of frequency adjustments. Special circuits inside the hearing aid also help with automatic noise supression, control of whistling or feedback problems and implementation of directional microphones which helps tremendously in noisy listening environments. Additionally, many of the instruments allow the user to manually change programs to further facilitate hearing in a particular listening environment.
