Hearing Rehab Center is owned and operated by Jeff and Matt Wilken. It was originally founded by Jeff, Matt and their father Bruce in May of 1996. Since then HRC has added multiple locations to better serve Colorado and have helped thousands of people lead better lives through improved hearing. At Hearing Rehab Center we strive to improve the lives of the hearing impaired. Bruce Wilken began wearing hearing aids in 1984. His positive experience with hearing aids led him to become a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist. He worked on and off in the hearing aid industry until Jeff graduated with his Master's degree in Audiology. Together, they opened the first Hearing Rehab Center in Aurora. The practice was built with the belief that success stems from a thorough understanding of the hearing impaired population. Because Bruce actually wears hearing aids, he has a better appreciation of the difficulties that hearing impaired people experience. These values are prevalent throughout all of the Hearing Rehab Centers. Since Bruce's retirement at the end of 2008, Matt, Jeff and the rest of the HRC team have worked hard to carry on the patient- first attitude that Bruce instilled at Hearing Rehab Center. Our principles: •As Audiologists, our job is to help people hear better, not to just sell them a product. It is important for a person with a hearing loss to understand their hearing loss and be educated on their options. •We feel that through education, we can spread the word that it is okay to wear hearing aids and that when properly fit, hearing aids really DO work!! •Technology is only as good as the person operating it.
