Advanced Hearing Services first opened in 1980. Through dedication and hard work, we are a highly respected and well established Hearing HealthCare practice.

Susan Baker, BS, BC-HIS started with Advanced Hearing as a receptionist in 1999. It wasn't long until she realized her passion for hearing and the joy that comes with helping people regain communication. Susan went to school and received her Board Certification for Hearing Instruments Specialist in 2004. (A Board Certified professional has spent a great deal of time and effort preparing for and completing the certification process. This dedication to professional growth is the mark of an accomplished hearing health professional who continuously strives for advanced levels of quality care).  Certificants understand the importance of:

Susan's special passion has continued and took over ownership of Advanced Hearing Services in July 2010.

Hearing loss impacts your life in many ways and sometimes those affected by hearing loss are unaware of this invisible disability. Susan prides herself in educating people about hearing and hearing loss.

Choosing a Hearing HealthCare provider is the most important step in moving forward with information regarding hearing and hearing loss. Knowing that Susan and her staff will be here for you from the moment you call to years after your hearing solution has been selected, should give you the confidence that you haven chosen the right place for your hearing needs.

Comprehensive Hearing Evaluations:  Receive a measurement of your hearing range to determine any changes in your hearing and any speech sounds that might be outside your hearing range.  A comprehensive evaluation consists of your responses to pure tones, speech recognition skills, and bone conduction.  Everyone should have their hearing measured routinely throughout your life (I recommend every year), to detect changes in your hearing. 

Individualized and Personalized Attention:  The way you perceive sound is as personal to you as your fingerprint.  No other person perceives sound the way you do, that is why Susan will take care of your hearing needs on a personal basis.  "Make it personal" is how Susan approaches each person, and with compassion and care.

Hearing Technology:  Hearing technology is used to bring the sounds back within your hearing range.  Anyone who wants to keep their hearing working at its best should be using hearing devices. 

Hearing Rehabilitation/Active Listening:  Hearing technology will not make you listen any better than you already do.  Hearing technology allows your brain to recieve the information it was missing.  You still have to take an active part in your hearing rehabilitation with hearing devices. 

Life Time Follow Up Care:Clean and checks are recommended every 6 months and are always FREE. I will clean and service your hearing devices and check your ears for wax. I will make any adjustments needed in your hearing devices according to your progress and needs.

Some services I provide are not part of follow up care such as wax removal ($20) and earmold tube changes ($5 each tube).
