Mr. Smith is a speech-language pathologist certified with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is board certified as a Hearing Instrument Specialist through the National Board for Certification of Hearing Instrument Specialists. He is a registered hearing aid provider in the State of Colorado. He earned his BA from University of Louisiana at Monroe, LA (previously Northeast Louisiana University), and he earned an M.Ed. from McNeese State University. He also has completed post-graduate coursework through University of Colorado at Boulder. He is as devoted to his profession and community as he is to his patients. Randy is the senior author of The Hearing Aid Decision: Answers To Your Many Questions (2008). The Hearing Aid Decision has been translated into Spanish and is being made available through CLAVE - Caring for Hearing Impairment, an organization in Madrid, Spain. Smith is also author of the book About Hearing Aids and Hearing Loss: Answers to 101 Questions (1991). He has also authored articles for professional publications. He has contributed to the hearing health of the community, as well, through his volunteer efforts in hearing screenings and free educational seminars to the community. He is a post board member and past president of the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center and a member of other community based organizations. He is a member of the Arapahoe Sertoma Club.
