
Dr. Joseph Ferrito was born and raised in San Jose, California. He has been a practicing audiologist for over 30 years. Dr. Ferrito is the founder and director of The Hearing Center (formerly Hearing & Speech Services) with three offices located in San Jose and Morgan Hill, California. Upon receiving his Masters degree in Audiology from San Jose State University, Dr. Ferrito was appointed to the faculty where he taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences. Understanding that each patient has unique communication and lifestyle needs, Dr. Ferrito and his staff strive to establish a long-term relationship with each patient. Their goal is to provide the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Dr. Ferrito’s years of experience have taught him that technology alone doesn’t help people hear better, but rather it’s how well the practitioner works with the patient and applies the technology. In his free time, Dr. Ferrito enjoys golf, travel and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife of 35 years, Lori, reside in Los Gatos, California. They have four grown children. These include basic behavioral tests and sophisticated computerized otoneurological evaluations. When appropriate, the latest digital hearing instruments may be utilized to help compensate for a hearing impairment. For individuals who work in high noise areas, we administer Hearing Conservation Programs in accordance to OSHA guidelines.
