Rupa Balachandran


Dr. Rupa Balachandran is the Director of Clinical Services at the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California.  She is a licensed  Dispensing Audiologist in the State of California.  Dr. Balachandran has presented at several national meetings on the topics of Central auditory processing and Speech perception by hearing-impaired individuals. She serves on the board of the California Academy of Audiology. She lives in Oakland with her husband, two children and her dog Otto.


Tracy Peck


Dr. Peck joined the Hearing and Speech Center in 2007 and is a California licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She received her Bachelors in Communicative Disorders and Sciences with a minor in Psychology, her Masters in Audiology, and her Doctor of Audiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her clinical interests include adult diagnostics and amplification, assistive listening technologies, biofeedback, auditory training, hearing conservation, and community outreach.  Dr. Peck specializes in the evaluation, treatment, and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis. Dr. Peck is a fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Tinnitus Association and has held several positions on the Board of Directors for the California Academy of Audiology, including Membership Chair and President.

Staff at the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California have been practicing state of the art audiology for over 50 years by offering hearing testing and hearing aid services to children and adults of all ages. Currently, we have a staff of six top-notch audiologists. We are a non-profit agency.
