Phyllis Burt

M.A., CCC-A
Phyllis is a state licensed and nationally certified dispensing audiologist who has been in the field for over 30 years. She achieved her Bachelors degree in Communicative Disorders from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Masters degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She evaluates hearing and dispenses hearing aids to clients of all ages including newborn babies. She started working in Sonoma County in 1983 and opened Park Place Hearing Center in 1985 to provide the best technical and personal hearing solutions for her clients. She makes sure clients fully understand their hearing loss, the effects of hearing loss on themselves and their families, amplification adaptation methods, and strategies for enhancing listening and communication. It was her interest in communication and communication breakdowns that brought her into audiology and continues to motivate her and compel her to find solutions.

Chalon Leonard

Chalon started working at Park Place Hearing Center over two years ago. She has been amazed by the change in the quality of clients’ lives as they begin to improve their hearing. She loves helping people understand their hearing devices, from function to maintenance, and happily talks them through hearing aid hurdles. Her passion to understand and keep up with hearing aid technology and the satisfying feeling that comes with helping clients hear better has encouraged her to pursue her Hearing Aid Dispensing License. She will continue to work with Phyllis as her technician and cannot wait to make the difference in people’s lives that they have made in hers!

About Us
Our goal is to provide you the best possible hearing care, based upon your individual needs. We provide a comprehensive array of services related to evaluation, rehabilitation and prevention of hearing impairment. These services include comprehensive hearing evaluations, specialized diagnostic testing, and industrial hearing screenings. Choosing a hearing professional is one of the most important decisions a hearing impaired person can make. Since a hearing aid cannot be prescribed like eye glasses, proper hearing aid recommendation and fitting is highly dependent on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument. We test your hearing, select and dispense the hearing instrument best to meet your needs, in additon to ,providing support, counseling and service of the hearing system. We are concerned about the person and make hearing solution recommendations to fit your lifestlye and personal needs. Protecting your hearing can make a big difference. We can help you protect your hearing from further deterioration through education about what affects your hearing, as well as the proper use and care of hearing protection devices.
