Audiological Evaluations Complete hearing testing for all ages provided by a certified clinical audiologist. Evaluations include measures of hearing sensitivity for air and bone conducted sounds, measures of speech discrimination ability, assessment of the middle ear function (impedance audiometry), and assessment of the inner ear function (otoacoustic emission testing). Hearing Aid Evaluation/Real Ear Measurement With our real ear measurement system, we can now measure and record the actual performance of your hearing aids while they are in your ears. This computer analysis helps us to verify that your hearing aid prescription is precisely matched to your individual requirements. Hearing Aid Dispensing and Service Orange County Physicians Hearing Services offers a wide variety of hearing instruments featuring the latest technology. Our staff emphasizes ongoing cleaning and maintenance after your hearing aid purchase to insure you receive optimum performance and benefit from your hearing aids. Repairs are provided on all makes and models with loaner hearing aids available when necessary. Hearing Aid Accessories Hearing aid batteries, custom-made ear molds, swim plugs, noise protectors, assistive listening devices such as audio induction loops, infrared systems and FM modulated systems, TV listening devices and telephone amplifiers, and items for the care and maintenance of your hearing aids are always available. Balance testing We also offer videonystagmography (VNG) evaluations to help determine the status of the peripheral balance system located in the inner ear. Newborn Hearing Screenings It is now required by the state of California that all newborns receive a hearing screening before discharge from the hospital. We offer follow up otoacoustic emission (OAE) screenings as well as diagnostic auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing to determine auditory synchrony and integrity. Swim Molds & Noise Protection Ear Molds Swim molds: Used to prevent water from entering the ear while children with PE tubes are swimming and bathing. Swim molds are custom made to fit each individual ear providing maximum protection and come in a variety of fun colors. Noise protection earmolds: Any kind of noise exposure is potentially damaging to hearing, so whether your noise exposure comes from your work environment or just mowing your lawn, custom earmolds can provide protection from noise-induced hearing loss.
