Janelle Spear, owner, is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser with over 20 years of experience practicing in the Bay Area. Her professional background includes diagnostic testing, hearing aid dispensing, education and research, and aural rehabilitation. She received her B.S. in speech and hearing science from the University of Oregon, her M.A. in audiology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her professional doctorate (Au.D.) from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. Most importantly, she is committed to providing clients the individualized attention and service needed to optimize their hearing and communication abilities.
Hearing Screenings offer a quick way to determine if your hearing thresholds are within the normal range, and if more in-depth testing is needed. Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations provide a more comprehensive assessment of your hearing thresholds and speech understanding ability, as well as the overall status of the auditory system. Hearing Aid Consultations allow a personalized selection of the type of amplification that best suits your needs, based upon your hearing thresholds, listening environments, lifestyle, size & shape of your ears, budget, and previous amplification experience. Consultations are provided at no cost, and with absolutely no obligation. Repairs & Maintenance of hearing devices are performed in-office whenever possible, or at the manufacturer's laboratory if more extensive service is required.
