Although she hasn't quite gotten used to the 'dry' summer heat, Stephanie certainly doesn't complain about the Arizona winter! Raised in Minneapolis, MN, and River Falls, WI, winter typically involved thermal underwear and a good snow shovel. After graduating with a pre-medical degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls, Stephanie and her young son moved west to Sedona, AZ, where her late step-father, Dr. Galen Berry, had taken ownership of a private audiology practice. Thinking she'd merely escaped the freezing cold Midwest winters, Stephanie soon found herself captivated by the diverse and rewarding joys of audiology while job shadowing Dr. Berry. Stephanie fell in love with audiology and was quickly accepted into the residential doctoral program at the Arizona School of Health Sciences of A.T. Still University.
Stephanie is licensed in Arizona as a dispensing audiologist. She holds national certification from ASHA. During her fourth-year clinical rotation, she discovered a passion for vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation, and also strengthened her love for evaluating pediatrics. Over the past year, Stephanie has worked extensively to fine-tune her skills in amplification technology and continues to expand her qualifications in evaluating and treating hearing and balance impairments. She believes in patient-centric healthcare and has learned to embody the principles ensconced by her education involving an integrated approach, addressing the mind, body and spirit. She has applied these principles to fit modern-day audiologic practice and maintains her objectivity with a concentrated study of current practice through continuing education.
