Dr. Shanna Mortensen-Dewsnup is licensed in Arizona as a doctor of audiology and dispensing audiologist. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with an emphasis in Deaf Education, from Utah State University. She also studied at the University of Cincinnati where she was obtained her degree as a Doctor of Audiology.
Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She specializes in difficult hearing aid fittings and hearing rehabilitation. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup has a passion for helping individuals and their families cope with hearing loss, and she finds joy in their success.
Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from North Canyon High School. She has two teenage boys. Her oldest son was born with a severe hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids since birth. He inspired her to go into the field of audiology. In her free time, she loves to travel, restore old Volkswagens, and spend as much time as she can with her two boys.
Dr. Nydia Quintero-Vanture is licensed in Arizona as a Doctor of Audiology and Dispensing Audiologist. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona in 2011. She continued her studies at the U of A for an additional 4 years, obtaining her Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) in the summer of 2015.
Dr. Quintero-Vanture is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Her passion is providing individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Her areas of interest include diagnostic audiometry in children and adults, hearing aid technology, tinnitus management, and aural rehabilitation.
Dr. Quintero-Vanture married her high-school sweetheart, and doctor of audiology colleague, this past October. In her free time, she enjoys baking and creating customized pastries, listening to records, and traveling with her husband.
Dr. Curtis Vanture is licensed in Arizona as a Doctor of Audiology and Dispensing Audiologist. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona in 2011. He continued his studies at the U of A for an additional 4 years, obtaining his Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) in the summer of 2015.
Dr. Vanture is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is passionate about helping people hear better. He knows navigating the hearing aid market can be quite challenging and scary for individuals with hearing loss who are interested in learning more about hearing aids. Dr. Vanture is very knowledgeable about hearing technology and will work to find the right solution for each patient. His professional interests include: conventional and implantable hearing technology, aural rehabilitation and tinnitus management.
In his free time, Dr. Vanture enjoys aquascaping (fish tanks and aquariums), listening to music, mountain biking, and playing classical guitar. He also enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart and audiology colleague, Dr. Nydia Vanture.
