Deana has been an audiologist for the past 43 years. She received both her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from the University of Maryland. Her work began at the Veterans Administration in Washington D.C. From there she went to New York for four years to work at Suffolk Rehabilitation Center and at Long Island Jewish Hospital. In 1971 it was off to Ohio and work with physicians in the Columbus area. The move to California came in 1979 and work with more physicians in the San Fernando Valley. Since 1989 Deana has had her own hearing aid practice in West Hills, providing hearing health care for all ages.

After doing her internship in our office in 2006, Layla Sweeney has decided to work with us once again.  Layla currently holds her Undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with her Masters Degree in Audiology from California State University in 2006.  She has a new and energetic perspective on our industry.  We are happy to have her on our staff.

In 1998, on October 2, Norine joined our team. That was the day we opened our new office. Over the years Norine has taken on the job of Office Manager and Repair Technician. She also maintains our well-equipped repair laboratory. This service saves our clients lots of time and money. Another of her duties is to keep the candy jar filled. Her claim to fame is that she can remember everyone's name and she promises "fast service, no matter how long it takes."

Hearing Aids, Etc. welcomed Maria in April of 2000 as our insurance biller/adjuster. Like her sister, Norine, she has expanded her role to include doing minor repairs. Maria is our bilingual "Jane" of all trades, filling in wherever needed. She is also very good at cleaning hearing aids. This way you can hear her when she says "give me your money" or for our Spanish speaking clients, "tu dinero".
