After being in the health care field as an administrator for a nursing home, I wanted to do more in the way of helping people. After I became a Hearing Instrument Specialist I felt even more rewarded in my work. My favorite part of my job is being able to help my patients in their home. As you age a lot of things are taking away from you, your ability to see, which impairs your ability to drive, one of the biggest freedoms we have. For me to be able to service and test my patients in the home, means that they no longer have to search for the ride, pay for a cab or wait for family to get out of work, I still enable them to have a sense of independence.

I came to Affordable Hearing Solutions after retiring from a 45 year position in the banking industry. This background has suited me well in my public contact with the hearing impaired on a personal basis, as I am also a senior citizen which is our usual age of our patient. I feel that this better helps me relate with them.
