Born and raised in Muskegon Michigan. Margaret studied Audiology at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and has been with HEARINGLife since July 2008. Her initial interest in the field was related to a first grade student that she worked with in her former profession, who had a high frequency hearing loss as a result of chemotherapy. She was interested in the effect that the hearing loss had on his ability to learn to read. Once she entered the field her interest in helping other age groups was peaked. Now she enjoys seeing the relief and gratitude of all patients and their loved ones, when they are able to effectively communicate as a result of effective amplification. Margaret is married with two children. Her husband works in outside industrial sales, with an office out of their home. Her oldest child, Nick just turned 22 years of age and is entering the Air Force. Her daughter, Sarah recently turned 19 and is a freshman at Western Michigan University, studying speech pathology and audiology. Their home is located on a small inland lake, so as a family they enjoy water sports in the summer and many outdoor winter sports as well.
