Advanced Bionics Partners with AG Bell and Funds New Initiatives

Programs will advance opportunities for hearing health professionals and individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing

Washington, DC, March 17, 2004 Advanced Bionics Corporations hearing health advocacy division, the Bionic Ear Association (BEA), has become a founding member of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearings (AG Bell) Circle Alliance Partnership. The partnership will advance the organizations common goals and is being funded through a $100,000 contribution from Advanced Bionics. The contribution will provide parents of children with hearing loss, adults who are deaf and hard of hearing, educators of the deaf, and clinicians in the field of hearing health with information and resources that promote listening and talking.

This is about investing in people, said Jeff Greiner, President and Co-CEO of Advanced Bionics Corporation. Through education, outreach, information exchange and networking, we will make a difference in peoples lives, he added.

As a founding Circle Alliance Partner, the Bionic Ear Association (BEA) is co-developing resources and advocacy initiatives with AG Bell to further enhance outreach and education.

As a way of celebrating this momentous partnership, we have launched a contest to provide registrations for two family members to attend the AG Bell 2004 Convention in Anaheim, California June 25-29, said Teresa Webb, Au.D, Manager of the Bionic Ear Association. We are also sponsoring a family to attend AG Bells first international conference in Europe, the 2004 Focus on the Family Promoting Listening and Talking in Como, Italy May 29-30.
