Rolling Stone Publishes Story on the Risk of Hearing Loss Due to High Levels of Music

The December 1, 2005 issue of Rolling Stone featured an article titled Music Making Fans Deaf? - How the iPod generation may be losing its hearing without even knowing it. The story includes information on how such famous performers such as Pete Townshend, Neil Young, Sting, Phil Collins and Ted Nugent have hearing related problems and 5 steps you need to take to prevent noise induced hearing loss. Dr. Brian Fligor, an audiologist at Boston Childrens Medical Center is featured in the article and discusses the potential damage that can occur due to when a person listens to a portable music player at a high level for an extended period of time.
