Minneapolis, MN (March 23, 2007) More than 7 million people learned about GN ReSounds Pulse this morning. Deidre Downs, GN ReSound company spokesperson and 2005 Miss America, along with audiologist Joy Glen M.A., GN ReSounds Director of Professional Training and Education participated in 20 interviews with national and regional television and radio programs across the country.
The media blitz was a part of an effort by GN ReSound to educate Americans on the importance of hearing health and Pulse, the worlds first rechargeable hearing aid. The event included a three-minute interview on the Daily Buzz, a nationally syndicated am news show on 120 CW stations. Interviews also appeared on WAKA in Montgomery, AL, the state where Downs resides, and KARE in Minneapolis, MN, the U.S. headquarters of GN ReSound.
Educating people of all ages about the prevalence of hearing loss today and how Pulse can offer an effective, convenient solution to hearing loss is our top mission at GN ReSound, says Glen. Working with a celebrity like Deidre helps us accomplish this mission by putting a prominent face on such an important health concern.
Todays patients have young and active lifestyles, and they are not ready to settle down and be confined to a hearing instrument that limits their abilities. Pulses unparalleled rechargeable feature and unprecedented sound enhancement allows them to work and play worry free no batteries or settings to change and no worrying about unnatural sound coming from a bulky instrument.
