Micro-Tech Hearing Instruments, Plymouth, Minn., was honored this May as recipient of the Minnesota Quality Award for its efforts and successes in quality and service excellence. The Minnesota Council for Quality recognizes organizations that have made extraordinary attempts to build systematic approaches to improving leadership, strategic planning, and customer and market focus.
Micro-Tech has taken several measures towards improving their quality process, including the implementation of company-wide score cards, a method for tracking internal procedures. Surveys have shown a significant increase in customer satisfaction since these new courses of action were instituted.
Since 1987 the Minnesota Council for Quality has assessed Minnesota businesses with firm criteria modeled after the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a system reputed for its effectiveness in improving companies management structures around the country.
