Audiologist and patient are recognized for company's milestone.
Salt Lake City- Sonic Innovations, Inc. (NASDAQ:SNCI), the only U.S.-based publicly traded manufacturer of digital hearing aids, commemorated the company's 1 millionth hearing instrument. Dr. Sheryl Figliano from the Center for Hearing Care in Boardman, Ohio and her patient Dora Cercone were recognized as the prescriber and purchaser of Sonic Innovations' 1 millionth hearing instrument on Friday, October 31, 2008.

Through the past 10 years, Sonic Innovations has achieved other company milestones that include developing a nine-channel digital signal processor (DSP) when other manufacturers only had two or three channels of compression and developing new sound compression technology that is considered unique in the industry.
