Phonak's Perseo Earns the Good Housekeeping Seal

Good Housekeeping Renews the Seal for Ground-Breaking Hearing Technology and Consistent Product Quality

WARRENVILLE, IL (August 2003) - -
Two years ago, Phonak became the first hearing instrument manufacturer to earn the Good Housekeeping Seal. Now, after further review of Phonak's product quality and commitment to service, Good Housekeeping has extended the Seal to the new Perseo line of digital hearing instruments.

The Good Housekeeping Seal is the most recognized and trusted product symbol in the American marketplace. Founded in 1900 for the purpose of improving the lives of consumers through education and product evaluation, products that earn the Seal must go through the scrutiny of industry experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute.

"The Phonak team maintains its commitment to helping people with hearing impairments make significant improvements in their quality of life through the design of advanced, innovative hearing systems," said Cathy Jones, President of Phonak

Phonak's dedication to improving lives through groundbreaking research and product development has the potential to affect a huge group of consumers. Currently, only 20% of the 28 million Americans who suffer from hearing loss purchase hearing aids.

"With such a serious need for hearing instrument technology, it is gratifying to receive the influential Good Housekeeping Seal. By continually subjecting Phonak's products to rigorous inspection by scientists at the Good Housekeeping Institute, we believe we are reinforcing consumer confidence in the quality and reliability of our product," said Jones.

Phonak was the pioneer of AudioZoom', the first hearing aid technology to be clinically proven to reduce background noise. Phonak manufactures a comprehensive line of digital hearing instruments from entry-level digital hearing aids to sophisticated and multifaceted digital signal processing through the Perseo' line. All models are offered in a complete range of styles including miniature in-the-canal devices to powerful behind the ear hearing computers.
