Medicare Beneficiaries, tell Congress you want direct access to your audiologist!

Audiology patients can make an impact! Get Congress to listen!

You can become part of the process. The "Hearing Health Accessibility Act" (HR 415/ S 277) was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. This legislation would allow Medicare beneficiaries the option of going directly to a qualified audiologist for hearing and balance diagnostic tests. Currently, Medicare requires that beneficiaries with hearing loss or balance disorders obtain a physician referral before seeing an audiologist. With the installation of the new Congress, the Hearing Health Accesibility Act will be re-introduced in the 109th. Contact your Representatives and Senators and ask them to keep an eye out for this legislatiion!
