Supporters of the hearing aid tax credit visited Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) last Monday at his office in Washington, DC to thank him again for his attention to hearing health issues including his original co-sponsorship of the Hearing Aid Tax Credit. HIA sponsored an HLAA/AGBell supper for the Congressman and his Maryland constituents with hearing loss last October. That event was attended by over 130 HLA and AG Bell members.
The group presented a plaque commemorating the event to Rep. Van Hollen, a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). During the meeting, the Congressman renewed his commitment to the Hearing Aid Tax Credit and thanked those in attendance for supporting his efforts to move the legislation.
