
The British Academy of Audiology has awarded Douglas Beck, AuD, Director of Professional Relations at Oticon, Inc., the 2012 Jos Millar Shield. The long-standing annual award is given each year to the individual who has submitted the best article for a BAA publication in the previous year.
Dr. Beck was honored for his article titled “What – I Didn’t know That!” that addressed that multiple clinical issues in hearing aids, audiology, neurology and neuroscience. The article was published in the Winter/Spring 2012 edition of the BAA Magazine.
Dr. Beck accepted the award at the BAA Gala Dinner that was held during the group’s National Conference in Manchester, UK. He is the author of numerous articles published in professional journals around the world. Among his professional affiliations, he serves as the Web Content Editor for the American Academy of Audiology.
