The AAC and National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine

The Audiology Awareness Campaign (AAC) recently arranged for audiologists to speak at 27 "National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine" conventions in 10 cities in 2003.

Over 10,000 high school seniors from across the county attended these conventions. High school seniors nominated by teachers or community leaders were eligible to attend. The conventions provided an opportunity for high achieving high school students to hear about various aspects of medicine.

AAC's "Listen -Up America: We Hear You" booklets were distributed to students along with earplugs, and lists of Au.D. programs, compliments of AAC. Special thanks to the following audiologists for donating time and expertise to this AAC event:

Dr. Paula Allison, Dr. David Citron, Dr. Steven Huart, Dr. Ken Henry, Dr. Cathy Kurth, Dr. Kathy Landau Goodman, Dr. Maria Lundquist, Dr. Joe Melcher, Dr. Carey Philliposian, Dr. Yvonne Sininger, Dr. Robert Sweetow, Col. Nancy Vause, Dr. Dennis Van Vliet, Dr. Kadyn Williams, and Dr. Steven Wolinsky.
