The first year of experience with hearing aids can be quite an adjustment. It is not uncommon for hearing aids to be misplaced or lost before they become part of the routine of daily life, such as wearing glasses or brushing your teeth. In case of loss in the first 12 months, it is nice to know that the manufacturer's coverage will replace the hearing aid. Of course, once that claim is made and the aid is replaced, it no longer has coverage.
