Is there a standard warranty that comes with hearing aids? What does the warranty cover?

Most hearing aid manufacturers provide a standard twelve-month warranty with all digital hearing aids. This warranty will cover normal repairs within that one-year period, including hearing aid shell remakes. For example, if a component of the hearing aid such as the microphone or the volume control were to stop working properly, the hearing aid could be sent back to the manufacturer for a no-charge repair.

Additional coverage may be ordered at the time of purchase or within the trial period of the hearing aid so that the consumer could extend the hearing aid warranty to 24 or even 36 months. Coverage can also be purchased from third party suppliers if desired.
