She is currently Managing Editor for AudiologyOnline, the leading Web resource for audiology and the hearing health profession. Dr. Smaka is an outspoken advocate for individuals with hearing loss, and provides outreach talks to schools and senior centers in her community. She has also presented on hearing aid technology at state and local professional meetings.
